John has been licensed as a marriage and family therapist since January, 1980. He is also an ordained Episcopal priest in good standing in the Diocese of Northern California.
John works with adults, couples and seniors. He specializes in relationship issues, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions and dreams. He has been doing marital and premarital counseling since 1971.
In 1999 John was the recepient of the "Heath Hodgeson Hero in Healthcare" award from the Health Communication Research Institute of Sacramento.
He also received in 1999 from the City of Sacramento a "Certificate of Appreciation in Recognition of Outstanding Commitment and Dedication as a Healthcare Professional to Providing the Highest Quality of Healthcare to all Residents of Sacramento."
He is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He holds a Lifetime Instructor Credential in Psychology with the California Community Colleges.
The office is handicapped accessible and is near light-rail and bus lines.
Office hours are Monday - Thursday
11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. by appointment only.
Emergencies are best handled by going directly to an hospital emergency room or by calling 911.
